As we have previously reported, our Union's 13th medical mission traveled to Mbale and examined the residents of the St. Kizito babies home. They did not arrive empty-handed, of course, they brought many gifts with them, which the children opened with hopeful faces. During this time, members of the mission made a number of photos that you can watch here to get some insight into what is going on over there.
The atmosphere was fantastic on the 7th of May at the Savannah Belly Dance Charity Night's 2 year anniversary event, for the benefit of disabled children of Bamako. The African-Hungarian Union was represented by Dr. Anna Jakkel, member of the AHU Medical Team and Prof. Dr. Endre Kanizsay, chief advisor of agriculture and food in AHU this evening.
The AHU Medical Team's volunteer doctors provide help yet again in the newly opened refugee camp in Körmend with the migrants' health care. The first volunteers, Dr. Anna Jakkel, a family doctor from Kecskemet and Ingrid Farkas-Lengyel, a nurse began their work at the camp today.
"Peter hugged the toy. A small doll on a keychain. But he has never had a toy. He admired it as the flies covered his pretty face and badly infected leg. He was lucky. He escaped. Thanks to Zita Bagdi, Zsofia Kapi and Attila Gaspar, doctors who went to the King David Primary School in Kapeke to heal with the help of the African Hungarian Union (AHU). Peter (pictured to the right) silently endured the painful intervention, the sewing and welcomed the candy as a reward.
The African Hungarian Union’s (AHU) program helping refugee camps starts up again at the end of the month. This time, we are looking for doctors and health professionals for the refugee arrival camp in Kormend (Vas County) who would join the Union's volunteer medical team.
